After completion, the company's total production capacity of long carbon chain nylon will reach 30000 tons/year, becoming the largest production and research and development base of long carbon chain nylon in China.

As a coal mine transformation enterprise, how did they break through industry barriers, achieve outstanding results, and become "chain owners"? The author walked into Xinsheng Dongchen Ruisen Company to find out.

Fusion type "chain mending" moistens things silently

"With your guidance, the quality of our products has been greatly improved. We will bring samples today to see if they can meet the supply requirements." On November 20, the general manager of a chemical enterprise in Zibo, Shandong, said excitedly, holding the hand of Wang Chaojin, general manager of Dongchen Ruisen.

In 2020, in order to solve the problem of "choking", Dongchen Ruisen made a great effort to "supplement the chain". The purchasing department of the company comprehensively integrates the raw material supplier directory, compares the advantages and disadvantages of various products, and actively cultivates its own raw material suppliers.

"We analyzed several small raw material suppliers with simple transportation links, advanced production equipment and technology to be improved, and actively contacted them to provide technical support." In July 2020, Zhang Quanfu, the technical director of Dongchen Ruisen, led two technicians to a raw material supply factory in Zibo to provide unconditional technical assistance. They invited the universities and experts cooperating with the company to provide intellectual support, and made their own production process discipline supervision system for the other company to ensure the accuracy in the production process. The quality of raw materials and products was greatly improved, and the two sides reached a strategic cooperation agreement.

It is not only a chemical raw material factory in Zibo that gets the technical support of Dongchen Ruisen, but also many enterprises in Jining and Hebei.

"We unconditionally help upstream enterprises, which are not favored by our peers. Now we have become a community of interests. The advantages of stable quality and price of raw materials have become our chips for rapid growth." Wang Chaojin said that since 2021, their raw material procurement costs have decreased by 1.6% year on year, and their product excellence rate has increased by 2.7%.

The benefits of personalized "chain extension" are highlighted

The game of master requires one step, three steps and five steps. Xinsheng Industrial knows this well in the game of Dongchen Ruisen. They do not rely on old products, constantly develop new products, and provide personalized product development and customization services.

Domestic auto parts, such as brake pipe and oil pipe, are highly dependent on imports, with high prices and no autonomy. In 2019, Dongchen Ruisen made a breakthrough in the application of high-end long carbon chain nylon in automobile brake pipes and oil pipelines. At present, Dongchen Ruisen has carried out comprehensive cooperation with large domestic automobile groups in the field of commercial vehicles. The brake pipes produced with the nylon products of the company have been tested in cold regions to effectively replace imported products. Dongchen Ruisen has become a mainstream automotive supplier at home and abroad.

"We should not underestimate every R&D breakthrough, which is the first step for us to break away from imports and overcome monopoly. The application of Dongchen Ruisen PA1012 and PA1212 products in the automotive field has forced the price of similar foreign imported products to reduce by more than 40% per ton." Liu, the deputy general manager in charge of raw material procurement of large domestic automobile groups, said earnestly that such social benefits cannot be measured by money alone.

The author learned in the interview that Dongchen Ruisen cooperated with a company in Henan to develop parts for locomotives to replace metal products. The product has been operating safely for 6 years after application, with a journey of 1.3 million kilometers. Recently, they have formulated product standards, and the products will be gradually promoted and applied in the railway system. At the same time, they actively docked with Sinopec and reached product cooperation intentions in the fields of oil lining pipes, coating materials, oil pipelines, deep well pumping pipes, etc.

Sincere cooperation brings good benefits. From January to October, Dongchen Ruisen achieved sales revenue of 220 million yuan.

No diamond, no porcelain. Dongchen Ruisen has always regarded the enhancement of connotation strength as the "killer weapon" to deal with market competition.

In 2019, Dongchen Ruisen started the construction of a new factory by taking advantage of Shandong University's plan to relocate to the old factory. The project is included in the optimization project of the major project library of new and old kinetic energy conversion in Shandong Province in 2021. By the end of 2020, the new plant will realize the joint trial production of two modified and four polymerization production lines, and the capacity will gradually reach 10000 tons per year.

In terms of talent construction, Dongchen Ruisen is also outstanding. They successively set up a technical R&D team of more than 40 people, including one doctor and four masters, and employed more than 10 professors and experts to form a technical advisory team. They also cooperated with Shandong University, Central North University, Jinan University, Zhengzhou University, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and other universities to establish teaching practice bases and "industry university research" cooperation bases. Dongchen Ruisen has applied for more than 40 invention patents in the process technology of core products such as nylon 610, 612, 1012, 1212, transparent nylon, nylon elastomer, high-temperature nylon, mining products, etc., and has obtained 12 authorized invention patents and 26 utility model patents. With excellent professional technology, in recent years, the company has undertaken the key new material projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China for industrial transformation and upgrading (Made in China 2025), the key project of Shandong Province for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy, and the key research and development program of Shandong Province.
